Hi, I’m Nina!
Originating from Germany and having called Spain home since 2009, I’ve had an international academic journey, studying in the United States, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in the Netherlands (cum laude) and and earning my PhD in Psychology with honors (cum laude) in Barcelona, Spain.
I hold additional postgraduate degrees in Forensic Psychology, Personality Disorders, Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy, as well as a postgraduate degree and specialized training in Systemic Relational Therapy, which I apply in my work with both individuals and couples.
Additionally, I hold a membership in the Colegio Oficial de Psicología de Catalunya and am recognized as a General Health Psychologist (Psicóloga General Sanitario).
I am dedicated to continuous professional development and actively participate in ongoing inter- and supervision; consistently engaging in training within the dynamic field of Psychology.
I also find great joy in my role as a Professor of Cross-Cultural Psychology and The Psychology of Global Happiness and Well-Being, which allows me to teach as well as learn from Northern American and international young adults who are studying a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain.
This combination of roles allows me to bring both academic perspective and real-world understanding of how culture and mental health influence one another to our sessions.
My international experience deeply shapes my work as a psychotherapist and lecturer. It allows me to connect with and support people from many backgrounds, including expats finding their place in a new country and those within the LGBTQIA+ community.
